Ministries

Altar Guild

Altar Guild has the privilege of assisting the clergy whenever necessary to ensure each service runs smoothly. This includes being responsible for marking books, setting out the silver communion vessels and making sure there is sufficient wine and peoples hosts for each service. The Altar Guild is the silent, behind the scenes part of the weekly services at St. Faith’s. The beautiful altar at St. Faith’s is no happy accident, but it is the product of lots of hard work.

Altar Flower Envelopes are provided at the back of the Church for Flower donations under the calendar.

Enclose your donation in the envelope and put it in the collection bag or give it to the church office ($20.00 suggested minimum)

Make sure you enter the date on the calendar that you want your flowers recognized.

Food Pantry

(Currently on Hold due to Covid-19)

St. Faith operates a very successful food pantry that serves the Cutler Bay area. Last year we distributed over 2400 bags of groceries to over 210 households, assisting nearly 600 people each month. We also supported about 40 homeless people with not only food, but other necessities

The food pantry is open one day a week and is operated by volunteers from the parish. Financial support is provided by the parish, the diocese and other grants.

The food pantry keeps on providing, but it cannot do so without your donations. Please continue to bring your items either to church with you on Sunday or take them to the office, where we will be happy to receive them. If you are unable to shop, cash donations are welcome.

Nursery/Child Care

There is a nursery and child care room that is available during the service.

Prayer Network

St. Faith’s Prayer Network consists of several members who regularly pray for the parish, its vestry and its clergy, members of the parish who are ill or troubled, and any other people for whom prayers are requested. Several network members are asked to offer prayers daily for particular individuals for at least two weeks. Then the names are rotated to other members so that prayers are offered over a two month period, if needed.

The Daughters of the King

The Daughters of the King Saint Faith's Chapter meets regularly. If you have a prayer request, please fill in the Prayer Request Cards located next to the Prayer Votive Stand or give your request to any Daughter, identified by the Cross she wears.

The men of the parish meet once a month at a local restaurant. Generally, the meetings provide an excellent opportunity for the men to build good relationships by having great conversations over appetizers, drinks, coffee or dinner.
